John + Hannah | Couples | Washington, D.C.

It was day two of the Storytime Workshop and during the last 48 hours we'd been talking... a lot... but we'd been talking a lot about words. Engage. Enchant. Document. Focus. Watch. Compose. Story. The last 2 days had brought new friends, heart talks, sweet families, and much time with our cameras. We'd fooled around all that afternoon taking pictures of each other. The girls were fantastic (and their pictures will come sometime soon!), but I honestly couldn't wait until the evening. Six-o'clock would bring a very special couple to the Shady Grove metro station. Kristen told us over dinner that I was paired up with the lovely, lovely Steph + we would be shooting John + Hannah... a couple who was dating but was "doing really really well". Anticipation certainly mounted as the 6 of us climbed into the car and headed to the metro.

John + Hannah didn't stand out in the crowd, but the minute we said our "Hello!"s I knew there was no way I would ever forget this couple. They had perfect date night outfits, beautiful smiles and... um... they were obviously crazy about each other. I think John held Hannah's hand almost the whole metro ride into D.C.... and the entire time we were shooting. They.were.absolutely.adorable. They were cute the way I want to be cute when I have a boyfriend. Young, beautiful and in love. Sounds like it would be a song... there's probably a song about that... it's probably a country song.

Their story is one that should be told. John + Hannah were in the same close circle of friends. Hannah had a crush on John, and John was unaware of said crush. One night, John would have a dream that would change everything. He had a dream about Hannah, they were holding hands and reading the Bible. When he woke up he all of us sudden had lots of feelings for Hannah. He wouldn't do anything with them for a few weeks, but then all of a sudden he walked up to her at a party and said something cute like "You are the girl of my dreams." I mean seriously... could that be any cuter!?!?

I didn't understand why John hadn't asked her yet, but it wasn't the right time. He did find the right time, though! They got engaged on May 18th!!!!!!!!! They are going to have a fantastic life.

John + Hannah, I wish you all the best. Ya'll are adorable! Enjoy the pictures... know they make me smile every time I look at them!
